The Nike Cortez Basic Black White (2023) is an updated version of a classic shoe that debuted in the 1970s. This iteration of the Nike Cortez Basic comes with an upper made largely of black leather. Black leather overlays also form the toe cap and the heel counter. The only deviations from this black color scheme are the heel collar, which is white, and the white Nike Swooshes that dominate both sides of the shoe. The Nike logo also appears on the heel collar in black, and the tongue has a Nike logo patch. Underfoot, the vintage sole is serrated and comes in black and white stripes, adding a classic modern look. What we like most about this shoe is the all black leather construction, aside from a few white elements, as it makes the shoe sleek and elegant.
