Born in 1940, Nobuyoshi Araki is one of Japan's most transgressive and controversial photographers. Often depicting his subjects tied up in Kinbaku bondage, Araki's work weaves the erotic and the aggressive into something delicate and romantic, applying a similarly invasive approach to self-portraits and works documenting his own personal life. This book features various illustrations of women, ranging from abstract portraits to crude drawings. The cover features a caricature of Araki that the artist often uses as a visual shorthand and signature.
