About the New Balance 992 MiUSA Shadow Grey

The New Balance 992 MiUSA Shadow Grey is a Made in USA Spring Summer 2026 seasonal release featuring pre-faded Shadow Grey leather at the quarter panel, Turtledove mesh for the base layer, and Team Away Grey nubuck wrapping the toe, mudguard, and heel, creating a fully neutral tonal palette where each material's slightly different grey tone adds depth without introducing color contrast. The Shadow Grey's leather quarter panels are finished with an aged, pre-faded quality that gives the shoe a vintage character from first wear, departing from the cleaner premium suede approach typical of most MiUSA 992 seasonal releases. The 992 was introduced in 2006 as New Balance's 100th anniversary model and third installment in the 99X series, featuring ABZORB cushioning at the heel and forefoot with compression resistance, ENCAP midsole technology combining lightweight foam with a polyurethane rim, and a pigskin suede and mesh upper construction assembled at New Balance's Massachusetts facilities under the brand's Made in USA program. The Shadow Grey arrives as part of the June 2026 batch of MiUSA releases that concludes New Balance's SS26 domestic production seasonal program with a grey theme across both the 992 and the simultaneously released 1300 Slate Grey.
