About the Vans Old Skool 'Cherry Checker'

Designed by Paul van Doren and initially debuting under the moniker 'Style 36' in 1977, the Vans Old Skool defined culture on the boards and in the streets. This 'Cherry Checker' edition reworks the archival pattern inspired by the creativity of SoCal youth with a fruity motif on the canvas upper. A reinforced toe cap and foxing tape remain essential to the look, while a heel logo and vulcanized gum rubber outsole nod to nostalgia.
