Nike Sock Dart
Shop the Nike Sock Dart, a running shoe defined by its sock-like upper, adjustable midfoot strap and distinctive sole.
About Nike Sock Dart
First released in 2004, the Sock Dart grew out of experiments with circular knitting by Tinker Hatfield’s team at Nike. The running shoe continued an exploration of sock-like footwear that began with the Sock Racer. It returned in 2014 in a collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s Fragment Design.
The original design uses computerized knitting to form its upper, with a silicone strap across the midfoot for support. The outsole has a patterned surface designed to flex in multiple directions. Later versions include changes to the upper and other details.
Silver Heel pairs a tweed-like Wolf Grey knit with a black collar and a metallic silver heel piece. Its reflective tongue tags show iridescent details in low light. Max Orange combines navy and orange on a mesh upper, with a molded heel counter and a Phylon midsole.
