Louis Vuitton Monogram Workwear Denim Pants Brown

About the Louis Vuitton Monogram Workwear Denim Pants Brown

The Louis Vuitton Monogram Workwear Denim Pants in Brown are a Summer 2021 ready-to-wear piece from Louis Vuitton under Virgil Abloh's creative direction for the men's line, applying the house's iconic LV monogram pattern to a workwear-inspired denim trouser construction in Brown, combining three distinct design traditions — luxury monogram canvas, American workwear denim, and contemporary streetwear — in a single garment that is characteristic of Abloh's approach to luxury fashion as a practice of cultural excavation and recontextualization. The Brown colorway transforms the LV monogram's familiar ground from its standard beige-tan canvas into a deep chocolate brown denim base, giving the monogram pattern a warmer and more fashion-forward reading than the classic canvas colorway while maintaining the pattern's immediate brand legibility across both the monogram's design and the workwear trouser's construction. The workwear denim format references Carhartt and American labor garment traditions that Abloh consistently drew from across his tenure at Louis Vuitton, with the workwear pant's reinforced construction, functional pockets, and relaxed proportions providing the democratic and practical garment language he used to bridge streetwear culture and luxury fashion. Released July 19, 2021 at $2,330 retail through Louis Vuitton's retail locations globally.
